8:15am - 8:45am Yoga for Runners (adult only)- Power Moves Yoga
This is a yoga sequence designed for athletes to recover overworked parts of their body, cross-train supportive muscle groups in their core, and improve range of motion in their spine. The series will balance your body and help prevent running injury.
9:15am - 10:00am Pound (adults and kids) Kim Coverly
Using lightly weighted drumsticks enginered specifically for exercising, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout.
10:00am - 10:45am Taste of Tai Chi (multi-age)- Batavia Park District (30)
Tai Chi is "Meditation in Motion". Discover how the flowing and graceful movement of Tai Chi can reduce stress and anxiety, improve balance and body control, increase the feeling of peace and well-being, and promote health and healing.
10:45am - 11:30am Nordic Walking (Ages 16+)- Kathy Freedlund Batavia Park District Fitness Director, Kathy Freedlund, has been a beloved fitness instructor for 30 years. The WellBatavia Festival has been fortunate to borrow her expertise (and walking poles!) for free classes on Nordic Walking! Come learn how to take make walking a total body work out!
