Amberlyn Vaughan has a background in physical therapy with a special interest in cardiovascular and pulmonary health. She finds the WellBatavia initiative aligns with her mission to promote health access and literacy, and fostering a stronger, healthier community
Dr. Sarah Greenhagen, PT, DPT is a Physical Therapist that specializes in Geriatric Physical Therapy and the Director of Clinical Education at Northern Illinois University. In working with local communities and groups to advance health literacy and wellness initiatives that promote advocacy and access to health resources for all members of the community, Sarah integrates students into the larger picture of their community and the impact they can have on public health. Sarah has participated in community grant funded initiatives and projects to increase population health through community accessibility, active transit-built environment, and health promotion through the annual WellBatavia Festival.
Mary Anne Callahan has worked in the mental health field for almost 10 years, but not as a therapist, as office and marketing manager. Mary Anne jumped on the board to bring the mental health awareness side into the mix for the WellBatavia Initiative. She recognizes how important mental wellbeing can be to one's overall wellness and hopes to build connections for our community with the mental health community.
Joe King is a physical therapist and a small business owner for 18 years. His private practice outpatient orthopedic clinic is located in North Aurora along the Randall Road corridor. He has been a resident of Batavia for nearly 20 years where his three children all attended Batavia High School. He believes the WellBatavia initiative aligns with his goal and mission to serve the community he lives in, promote widespread healthcare and wellness initiatives throughout the Fox River Valley region, and create a proactive and preventive mindset in the community
Lisa Kyle, a lifelong educator and business franchise owner in a global health food company, collaborates with health care professionals and Juice Plus+ to promote whole-food, plant-based nutrition. With a passion for health and wellness, Lisa educates clients of all ages on the importance of good nutrition for a healthy lifestyle. Her dedication has made her a respected figure in the health and wellness community in the Fox Valley area and beyond. Lisa's mission aligns with the WellBatavia Initiative, emphasizing education, prevention, access to resources and community support
